    The study investigated the use of Pulsed Electric Fields (PEF) to stimulate hair growth by shifting hair follicles from the resting telogen phase to the active anagen phase. Using Sprague Dawley rats, the researchers tested various PEF parameters and found that the optimal treatment (270V, 300 pulses, 270us pulse length) resulted in a 5.05-fold increase in anagen follicles compared to controls. Treated sites showed 45.55% of follicles in anagen versus 9.02% in controls (p=0.0008). Voltage was identified as the most influential parameter. The findings suggested that low-dose PEF could effectively stimulate hair growth, warranting further studies on the duration of results, multiple treatments, and mechanisms of action.
