    In 2019, a study was conducted to investigate the hair growth promoting ability of a herbal gel containing Zingiber officinale, commonly known as ginger. The study involved the application of the gel on shaved dorsal areas of rats for 30 days. The results showed a significant increase in hair length and density in the treated group compared to the control group. The study concluded that the herbal gel containing Zingiber officinale has potential hair growth promoting properties, suggesting its potential use in the treatment of alopecia.
