TLDR The 5% terentang stem bark extract significantly increased hair growth in male rabbits.
The study investigated the hair growth activity of terentang (Campnosperma brevipetiolatum Volkens) stem bark extract in male rabbits, using six different treatments including various concentrations of the extract (0.5%, 1%, and 5%), a negative control, a positive control, and no treatment. Over 21 days, hair length and weight were measured, and statistical analysis using one-way ANOVA showed significant differences in hair growth among the treatments (P<0.05). The 5% concentration of terentang stem bark extract was found to be the most effective in promoting hair growth.
