TLDR Eclipta prostrata extract significantly promotes hair growth in rats.
The study evaluated the hair growth-stimulating effects of Eclipta prostrata extract (CCCNN) on Wistar rats. The rats were divided into five groups, including a biological control, a model group, a positive control (finasteride), and two groups receiving CCCNN at doses of 50 mg/kg and 150 mg/kg. Hair loss and hair length were assessed on days 19 and 26. Results indicated that CCCNN at both doses significantly stimulated hair growth, increased hair length, and enhanced follicle development compared to the model group, suggesting its potential effectiveness in promoting hair growth in cyclophosphamide-induced hair loss in rats.
