TLDR Hair follicle stem cell exosomes help nerve regeneration.
The study investigates the role of hair follicle neural crest stem cell-derived exosomes (hfNCSCs-Exos) and their carried miR-214-3p in promoting peripheral nerve regeneration. The dataset includes cell and exosome characterization data, in vitro and in vivo experiment data, and functional recovery assessments. The research demonstrates that hfNCSCs-Exos, particularly those enriched with miR-214-3p, enhance neurite outgrowth and nerve regeneration in acrylamide-injured rat dorsal root ganglion neurons and a rat sciatic nerve defect model. The findings suggest a potential therapeutic approach for peripheral nerve injuries.
