TLDR Combining laser therapy with hair extraction improves eyebrow scar treatment.
This study evaluated the effectiveness of combining follicular unit extraction (FUE) with fractional carbon dioxide laser therapy for treating post-traumatic eyebrow scars in 30 patients. The experimental group, which received laser therapy before FUE, showed significant improvements in scar condition and higher follicle survival rates (86.13% at 6 months and 81.87% at 12 months) compared to the control group. The combined treatment also resulted in fewer complications like hair curliness and asymmetry. The study concludes that this combination enhances scar texture and follicle survival, although it notes limitations such as the small sample size.
