TLDR Eyebrow transplants use hair from the scalp or pubic area, with blonde hair looking more natural, and can leave scars depending on the method used.
Eyebrow transplants involved using hair from the lower nape of the occipital scalp or very light pubic hair as donor hair, with blonde or light-colored hair yielding better results than black Asian hair due to contrast issues. The design of the eyebrow had to follow natural patterns, gender, and direction to appear natural. Two methods were used for donor hair extraction: H.H.H. FUE, which involved extracting each hair follicle unit from the occipital scalp and transplanting it to the eyebrow, and strip harvesting, which involved removing a piece of the occipital scalp, dividing it into follicular units, and then transplanting these units to the eyebrow. FUE did not produce scars at the donor site, while strip harvesting resulted in a linear scar.
