In 2019, a study was conducted to formulate and evaluate a polyherbal shampoo designed to promote hair growth and provide antidandruff action. The shampoo was created using natural ingredients such as Bhringraj, Fenugreek, Neem, Shikakai, Reetha, Tulsi, Paan, Gurhal, Green Tea Leaf, Lemon, Amla, Brhingaraj Leaf Powder, Aloe Leaf Powder, Ashwagandha Powder, Triphala Powder, Nagarmotha Powder, and Brahmi Root. The formulation was evaluated on several parameters to ensure its safety, stability, and efficacy. The study concluded that the ayurvedic formulation showed promise for cosmetic use, particularly for treating hair disorders like dandruff, due to its minimal side effects. The herbal shampoo, named Herbello, was prepared and characterized in the laboratory, with improvements made especially in terms of viscosity, conditioning ability, and antidandruff activity.
