TLDR Loneliness reduces academic enthusiasm in students.
A study conducted on medical science students in Iran found that while academic enthusiasm and loneliness are at average levels, fear of intimacy is below average. Importantly, loneliness negatively predicts academic enthusiasm, meaning that as loneliness increases, enthusiasm decreases. To address this, the study suggests that students should engage in cultural workshops and communication management to reduce loneliness and enhance academic enthusiasm.
