TLDR Channels stay open for 24 hours, making laser treatment potentially effective for hair loss.
This study aimed to investigate the duration of open channels after fractional-assisted drug delivery (FADD) using erbium yag laser in androgenic alopecia (AGA). Biopsies were taken at 1, 6, 12, 24, and 48 hours after the procedure, and histological analysis was performed. The results showed that channels remained open for up to 24 hours, which suggests that FADD using erbium yag laser could be an effective treatment option for AGA. However, further studies are needed to confirm the efficacy and safety of this treatment.
