TLDR Heat shock protein 27 is more present in the active growth phase of human scalp hair follicles.
The study investigated the expression of heat shock protein-27 (HSP-27) in adult human scalp skin and hair follicles, focusing on changes dependent on the hair cycle. The findings indicated that HSP-27 expression varied significantly throughout different phases of the hair cycle, suggesting a potential role in hair growth and follicle health. This research provided insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying hair cycle regulation and highlighted the importance of HSP-27 in maintaining hair follicle function.
