TLDR Exosomes could improve facial surgery recovery and aesthetics, but they're still experimental.
Exosomes are emerging as a promising therapeutic tool in facial plastic surgery, with preclinical studies showing their potential in modulating wound healing, skin rejuvenation, hair growth, and nerve regeneration. Early clinical evidence indicates benefits in enhancing recovery after laser resurfacing, treating acne scars, and promoting hair growth. However, no exosome products are currently FDA-approved for medical use, and they remain experimental until they receive regulatory approval and thorough clinical validation. As research progresses, exosomes could become valuable for improving patient outcomes and expanding regenerative medicine applications in facial aesthetics and reconstruction.
