TLDR Certain ingredients can help protect hair color.
The study investigated the effects of co-surfactants and conditioning additives on hair color protection using an ex vivo model. The research aimed to understand how these substances could help maintain hair color by reducing fading. The findings suggested that certain co-surfactants and conditioning additives were effective in protecting hair color, potentially offering benefits for hair care formulations. However, as this was an ex vivo study, further research would have been needed to confirm these results in vivo.
