The antiandrogenic effect of EE/CMA was confirmed, leading to clinical efficacy in mild-to-moderate androgen-induced skin and hair disorders, including androgenic alopecia. The rate of venous thromboembolism was very low. The study concluded that EE/CMA was an effective and safe method of contraception with clear additional benefits.
