Psychometric Performance of EQ-5D-5L Index in Adults and Adolescents with Severe Alopecia Areata: Evidence from Phase III Trial Data

This study indicates that the EQ-5D-5L may not effectively capture the burden of alopecia areata on patients' health-related quality of life, and suggests that alternative measures might better assess treatment benefits related to hair regrowth.

This study assessed the effectiveness of the EQ-5D in measuring health-related quality of life for alopecia areata patients and found it may not accurately capture the burden of the condition, particularly its psychosocial impact, compared to other more condition-specific measures.
