An 11-year-old girl with eosinophilic pustular folliculitis (EPF) involving the labial mucosa showed significant improvement with naproxen after being unresponsive to various treatments, including systemic prednisolone, cyclosporine, dapsone, and topical corticosteroids. Histological examination confirmed eosinophilic infiltration in hair follicles and perifollicular areas. This case highlighted the potential efficacy of naproxen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), in treating EPF, suggesting it could be a viable first-line treatment option, even in children. The findings also questioned whether EPF is truly a follicular disorder, given its occurrence in areas without hair follicles.
