TLDR Oral Apremilast effectively treats alopecia areata in most patients.
The study conducted at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre in Karachi assessed the efficacy of oral Apremilast in treating alopecia areata (AA) in 85 patients. Administered at 30 mg twice daily, Apremilast significantly reduced the Severity of Alopecia Tool (SALT) scores from 62.42 to 41.53 over 12 weeks, with a mean difference of 20.89 (p-value: 0.0001). The treatment was effective in 80% of patients, suggesting that oral Apremilast could be a promising alternative for AA treatment, warranting further clinical investigation.

The conversation is about using 5mg oral minoxidil, 1mg oral finasteride, and Keto shampoo for hair loss, with additional supplements like Biotin, multivitamins, and Vitamin D3 with K2. Suggestions include possibly switching to 2.5mg dutasteride instead of finasteride.
