TLDR Combining fractional photothermolysis with minoxidil is more effective for hair growth than minoxidil alone.
The systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the efficacy and safety of combining fractional photothermolysis with topical minoxidil 5% compared to using topical minoxidil 5% alone for treating male pattern hair loss. The study concluded that the combination treatment was more effective in promoting hair growth than minoxidil alone, without significant safety concerns. This suggests that integrating fractional photothermolysis with minoxidil could be a superior therapeutic approach for male pattern hair loss.
