TLDR BM-PHA is as effective and safe as Restylane Perlane for improving nasolabial folds with minor side effects.
In a study from 2019 involving 91 participants, the novel filler BM-PHA was found to be as effective and safe as Restylane Perlane (PER) for the treatment of moderate to severe nasolabial folds. After 24 weeks, both treatments significantly improved Wrinkle Severity Rating Scores (WSRS) and Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS) scores, with no significant differences between them. Minor local side effects were reported, and no serious adverse reactions were noted. The study concluded that BM-PHA could be a suitable alternative to PER for nasolabial fold correction, and called for further research to verify the long-term safety and potential additional benefits of BM-PHA.

The conversation discusses the potential of long-chain unsaturated fatty acids, like oleic and linoleic acid, as an additional treatment for hair loss, which may inhibit the enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to DHT and promote hair growth. Users humorously suggest using oils topically and discuss other hair loss treatments, but the main focus is on the science behind fatty acids and their role in hair health.
