    Nasolabial folds, also known as smile lines or laugh lines, are the skin creases that run from each side of the nose to the corners of the mouth. These folds become more prominent with age due to the loss of skin elasticity, fat, and collagen, and are a common focus in cosmetic treatments aimed at reducing the appearance of aging.
