NAC demonstrated potential benefits in liver recovery, renal function improvement, and prevention of noise-induced hearing loss, as well as in treating cocaine addiction and alleviating depressive symptoms. However, some studies showed no significant improvement in patient outcomes, indicating the need for further research to fully understand and optimize their clinical use.
