TLDR Minoxidil effectively treats hair loss in both men and women.

The study evaluated the effectiveness of topical minoxidil in treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in 20 patients aged 18 to 45 years. Results showed clinical improvement in most cases, with increased hair growth and density in affected areas starting at about 3 months and completing by 12 months of treatment. The conclusion was that minoxidil is a good alternative for treating AGA in both males and females.

Hair loss treatments, specifically the use of oral minoxidil in combination with micro-needling. Oral minoxidil has been found to improve hair density in 90% of patients with a low side effect profile, but using 5mg per day can result in higher side effects including hypertrichosis and edema. Other treatments mentioned include finasteride and RU58841.
