The Effect of Platelet Rich Plasma Injection in Treatment of Androgenetic Alopecia Patients

    TLDR PRP injections can help reduce hair loss in some people with Androgenetic Alopecia.
    The study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections in treating Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) in a sample of 20 patients. Results showed that hair loss decreased over time, with a mean reduction from 9 hairs at baseline to 3 hairs by the 8th week. Following PRP treatment, 10% of patients experienced high improvement, 30% moderate improvement, 30% mild improvement, and 30% saw no change. Overall, 40% of patients were satisfied with the treatment. The study concluded that PRP injections were relatively effective in treating AGA.
