Effect of Hizkia Fusiforme Okamura on the Proliferation of Dermal Papilla Cells

The study evaluated the hair-growth effects of various seaweed extracts on the proliferation of dermal papilla cells, which are crucial for hair morphogenesis, regeneration, and growth. Immortalized vibrissa dermal papilla cells were treated with extracts from several seaweeds, including Hizkia fusiforme Okamura. The extract of H. fusiforme significantly increased the proliferation of these cells, suggesting its potential to promote hair growth.
