Effect of Extreme Consumption of Clove on the Morphology of Mice and Liver Tissue

TLDR Eating too much clove can cause serious liver damage.
The study investigated the effects of extreme clove consumption on the liver morphology of mice. Using 20 mice, the researchers administered 1g of cloves orally for 50 days. The results showed a decrease in weight, signs of dehydration, hair loss, and severe liver congestion with dark red coloration, bleeding, and necrosis. Microscopic examination revealed a loss of normal liver tissue structure and signs of programmed cell death. The conclusion was that consuming large quantities of cloves leads to liver toxicity, although it was not deemed dangerous.
