TLDR Intradermal dutasteride effectively and safely improves hair growth in early-stage androgenetic alopecia.
The study assessed the effectiveness of intradermal dutasteride injections for treating androgenetic alopecia in 15 male patients, finding significant improvements in hair density and patient satisfaction, especially one month after treatment. The treatment was well-tolerated with minimal side effects, such as mild pain and headache, and no significant sexual side effects. A negative correlation between disease duration and improvement suggests that earlier treatment may enhance efficacy. Overall, intradermal dutasteride is considered an effective and safe treatment for AGA, particularly in patients with shorter disease duration.
