TLDR Minoxidil and finasteride are promising drugs that can prevent hair loss and promote new growth in people with common hair loss condition.
Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a common condition that affects both men and women. In the past, there were few effective treatments for AGA. Vitamin supplements and hair systems provide temporary relief but do not cure the condition. However, drug therapies such as minoxidil and finasteride have shown promise in preventing further hair loss and promoting new hair growth. Finasteride, in particular, has been successful in clinical trials. Tailored drug approaches like this offer hope for the future treatment of AGA.
