TLDR COVID-19 may increase hair loss due to stress and inflammation.
The study investigates the increase in telogen effluvium cases during the post-COVID-19 period, attributing it to factors such as the inflammatory nature of the virus, stress from isolation, and fear. Using an integrative literature review method, the research analyzed articles published between 2018 and 2022 in Portuguese and English. The findings suggest a possible link between COVID-19 and telogen effluvium, highlighting the need for further analysis to develop effective treatments.
