TLDR The European Society of Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus created a questionnaire to standardize patient assessment and improve care for cutaneous lupus.
In 2009, the European Society of Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus (EUSCLE) created the EUSCLE Core Set Questionnaire to standardize the assessment of patients with cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) across Europe. The questionnaire, which includes six sections, collects detailed information on patient demographics, diagnosis, skin involvement, disease activity and damage, laboratory analysis, and treatment, incorporating the validated CLASI scoring system for disease activity and damage. This tool aims to facilitate consistent data collection and comparison, and to help establish standardized diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines for CLE. The study also mentioned a separate research by Massardo L et al., which involved 78 systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients and found that 23% had autoantibodies specific to galectin-8, which were significantly associated with lymphopenia.
