Comparison of Simplex and Complex Varieties of Homeopathic Medicated Hair Oil with Quality Control by UV-Visible Spectrophotometer

    The research paper discusses the preparation and analysis of two varieties of homoeopathic medicated hair oil, simplex and complex, using Robinia, Embelica officinalis, and Jaborandi mother tincture mixed in coconut oil. The oils were prepared with a drug and vehicle ratio of 1:9, heated until homogeneous, and then mixed with virgin olive oil. The simplex variety was prepared by mixing each tincture separately with coconut oil, while the complex variety mixed all three tinctures together. The oils were then analyzed using a UV-visible spectrophotometer, with absorbance values recorded for each oil. The Jaborandi hair oil had an absorbance value of 0.191 at 413.00 nm and 0.062 at 499.00 nm, Embelica officinalis Q had a value of 0.048 at 698.00 nm, Robinia Hair oil had a value of 0.092 at 699.00 nm, and the mixed variety had a value of 0.066 at 699.00 nm.
