TLDR The Labrador dog fully recovered from hypothyroidism after 3 months of treatment.
A 4.5-year-old male Labrador dog exhibited symptoms of anorexia, dullness, unresponsiveness, generalized skin infection, and hair loss/alopecia. Clinical examination and biochemical tests indicated decreased T3 and T4 levels, leading to a diagnosis of hypothyroidism. The dog was treated with oral Thyroxine sodium at 10 mcg/kg body weight twice daily, along with fluid therapy, antibiotics, and vitamins. The treatment resulted in complete recovery within 3 months.
