CEO View: An Exciting Start to 2021 for The Society

In 2021, The Physiological Society launched an online Member Community platform to foster connections among members and facilitate discussions around specific research interests. The Society also introduced a new grants program designed to support members at different career stages and encourage long-term membership. The program aims to fund attendance at Society events, raise awareness of the Society at an institutional level, generate a Fellowship scheme to recognize excellence in physiology, and draw upon the expertise of its Fellow Members. The Society also provides pre-and post-application support for the grants, including webinars, how-to guides, and feedback for unsuccessful applicants. New Trustees were elected and will take office at the November 2021 Member Forum.
