TLDR Boswellia may improve skin inflammation symptoms and positively influence hair growth in mice.
The study investigated the effects of Boswellia on hair cycle-related genes in mice with DNCB-induced atopic dermatitis. Using 5-week-old male Balb/c mice, DNCB was applied to induce dermatitis, followed by Boswellia administration. Visual and histological analyses showed significant improvement in dermatitis symptoms and changes in the keratin layer and hair follicle shape. Transcriptional analysis revealed increased expression of genes such as Gprc5d, Msx2, Ptch2, Wnt10b, Dsg4, Kratap4-16, Hc16, Apcdox, and S21 mR in the Boswellia-treated group. The study concluded that Boswellia could improve dermatitis symptoms and potentially enhance hair cycle or growth impediments caused by dermatitis.

The post and conversation discuss the link between DHT (a hormone), scalp itchiness, and hair loss. Some users share their experiences and treatments, including the use of fluconazole, corticosteroids, and ketoconazole shampoo, with one user suspecting minoxidil as a potential cause of their symptoms.
