TLDR The bio-patch promotes faster, scarless wound healing.
The study introduces a multifunctional aloin-arginine-alginate (3A) bio-patch designed to enhance scarless wound healing. This bio-patch transforms into a hydrogel upon absorbing exudate or blood from wounds, addressing limitations of traditional hydrogels such as exudate absorption and bacterial growth during storage. The 3A bio-patch features a porous structure, excellent swelling properties, and biodegradability, which facilitate rapid exudate absorption and hydrogel formation. Additionally, it demonstrates significant antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, promoting accelerated wound healing and scarless repair in vivo. This innovative approach offers a promising solution for cutaneous wound dressing materials.
