TLDR Becker's Melanosis and Hypertrichosis mainly affects young males, causing brown skin patches and extra hair on one side of the upper body.
Becker's Melanosis and Hypertrichosis was a condition predominantly affecting young males aged 10-15, characterized by unilateral brown pigmentation and hair overgrowth on the shoulders and thoracic area. The condition typically progressed for 2-3 years before stabilizing, with some cases showing slow pigment disappearance. Seven patients were observed over two years in Melbourne, and their clinical and histological findings were documented alongside a literature review.
