Ayurveda Principles and Formulations in the Management of Alopecia Areata: A Case Report

This case report explores the use of Ayurvedic treatments for managing Alopecia Areata in a 25-year-old female with 2-3 bald spots on her scalp. The patient received a combination of internal therapies, including Panchatikta Ksheer Vasti and various oral medications, along with external herbal head packs and lifestyle modifications. After three months, significant hair regrowth was observed without adverse effects or recurrence. The findings suggest that Ayurvedic treatments can be an effective alternative to conventional therapies for Alopecia Areata, with minimal side-effects.
