TLDR The FUE technique is effective for Asian female hairline restoration with benefits like no scar and short recovery time.
The 2014 study involved 78 Asian female patients aged 18 to 57 who underwent hairline surgery using the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique. The surgeries were categorized into three groups based on the type of correction needed. The results were satisfactory in all cases, with only three cases needing a small session for relatively less survival area and two cases of small 'moth-eaten pattern' on the donor area which required no treatment. The study concluded that the FUE technique can be a versatile method for hair restoration surgery, including Asian female hairline surgery, offering several benefits such as no linear harvesting donor scar, convenient postoperative management, and relatively short postoperative downtime.

      community Verteporfin and Microneedling

      in Treatments 6 months ago
Clinical studies by Dr. Barghouthi and Dr. Bloxham indicate that Verteporfin, when used with FUE and FUT hair transplantation methods, shows promise in hair follicle regeneration and minimal scarring due to its ability to inhibit Yes-associated protein (YAP). Microneedling at depths of 3-3.5mm, combined with Verteporfin, could potentially reactivate dormant follicles, although the optimal dosage and application method are still under investigation. Concerns remain about the DHT sensitivity of regenerated follicles, highlighting the need for further research to optimize trauma levels and Verteporfin concentrations to achieve effective and scar-free hair regeneration.

A study that outlines the full model for androgenic alopecia (AGA) which links DHT to cellular senescence in dermal papilla cells, and suggests black chokeberry as a source of cyanidin 3-O-arabinoside polyphenol with potential anti-oxidant properties that could reverse this process. The post encourages reaching out to experts in anti-aging and longevity to research treatments involving the polyphenol.
