"Art’s Work in the Age of Biotechnology: Shaping Our Genetic Futures" is a multisite exhibition that took place at North Carolina State University from October 2019 to March 2020. Sponsored by the Genetic Engineering and Society Center, the North Carolina State University Libraries, and the Gregg Museum of Art & Design, the exhibition aimed to provoke discussion about the role of genetics in society through contemporary art. It included installations at various locations, such as the Gregg Museum of Art & Design and the North Carolina Museum of Art’s Ann and Jim Goodnight Museum Park, and featured a related interdisciplinary planning symposium and a response symposium. The exhibition encouraged viewers to reconsider their perspectives on the genetic revolution.
