TLDR Antioxidative nanozymes could effectively treat ischemic stroke by reducing harmful molecules in the brain.
Antioxidative nanozymes offer a promising treatment for ischemic stroke by addressing the challenge of excess reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated during blood flow restoration in the brain. Unlike natural enzymes like catalase and superoxide dismutase, which are difficult to use widely, nanozymes provide high stability, low cost, and long-term storage benefits. These properties make them a viable therapeutic strategy, with potential significant contributions to both basic research and clinical applications in the field of ischemic stroke.
