TLDR Nutricosmetics with active ingredients can help with hair loss and improve hair growth.
The document reviewed the effectiveness of nutricosmetics in treating hair loss and alopecia, presenting findings from several studies. A study with 40 male volunteers showed that taking Viviscal led to a significant increase in nonvellus hair after 6 months. Another study with 60 volunteers demonstrated significant hair growth improvements using Hairgain® compared to a placebo. A third study reported thicker hair in 48 females after taking silicon supplements for 9 months. Additionally, 30 female volunteers with telogen effluvium experienced an increase in anagen hair after 6 months of using Pantogar®. The document concluded that nutricosmetics with active ingredients can be beneficial for hair loss protection and hair rejuvenation, but highlighted the necessity for regulatory measures to ensure product safety.
