This study investigated the effects of Apricot Kernel Oil (AKO) on seborrheic dermatitis (SD) using a rat model with 50 Wistar rats divided into five groups. The research focused on AKO's anti-inflammatory and anti-seborrheic properties, particularly its potential in hair restoration and preventing hair loss. AKO treatment, especially at 400 mg/kg, showed dose-dependent improvements in tissue antioxidant levels, inflammatory markers, and gene and protein expressions related to SD. Histopathological and molecular evaluations revealed structural improvements in skin tissue, highlighting AKO's potential benefits in treating SD.
