Improvement in Androgenetic Alopecia (Stage V) Using Topical Minoxidil in a Retinoid Vehicle and Oral Finasteride

    A 32-year-old man with stage V androgenetic alopecia (AGA) underwent a 6-month trial using a combination of topical minoxidil in a retinoid vehicle and oral finasteride. The topical solution contained 3% minoxidil and 0.01% tretinoin, applied twice daily, while finasteride was taken at 5 mg per day. This nonsurgical intervention aimed to optimize hair regrowth in a patient with advanced AGA.
