TLDR Tofacitinib helped a woman regrow her hair without relapses after other treatments failed.
A 21-year-old woman with circumscribed alopecia areata incognita (AAI) experienced frequent relapses and side effects from conventional steroid treatments. She was treated with oral tofacitinib 5 mg twice daily, resulting in complete hair regrowth after 6 months and no relapses over 10 months. This case suggests that tofacitinib may be an effective alternative for AAI patients who do not respond to corticosteroids.
