A Clinical Study of Cutaneous Adverse Drug Reactions

This review discusses various presentations of drug-induced cutaneous eruptions, particularly those associated with interferon and ribavirin, and reports no new clinical findings.

In this study, 37.5% of patients with nodal or metastatic cutaneous melanoma treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors developed skin adverse events, primarily low-grade rashes, vitiligo, and other dermatological symptoms, occurring mainly after 10 weeks of treatment.

All medications can cause skin rashes, often without a clear cause, and better tests are needed to identify these drug-related skin issues.

This review discusses challenges in managing cutaneous drug reactions to anticonvulsants and reports no new clinical findings; the authors emphasize the complexity of discontinuing or rechallenging suspected agents.
