    hormone that regulates water balance by reducing urine output

    Vasopressin, also known as Antidiuretic Hormone (ADH), is a hormone produced by the hypothalamus and released by the pituitary gland. It helps regulate the body's water balance by increasing water reabsorption in the kidneys, which reduces urine output and helps maintain blood pressure.
