    harm to DNA from ultraviolet B radiation causing mutations

    UVB-induced DNA damage refers to the harm caused to the DNA in our cells by ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation from the sun. This type of radiation can cause mutations by creating abnormal bonds between DNA bases, such as thymine dimers, which can lead to skin aging, sunburn, and increase the risk of skin cancer.
