Ultraviolet Radiation (UVR) is a type of electromagnetic radiation that comes from the sun and artificial sources like tanning beds. It has shorter wavelengths than visible light, making it invisible to the human eye, but it can cause skin damage, sunburn, and increase the risk of skin cancer. UVR is also used in medical and industrial applications, such as sterilizing equipment and treating certain skin conditions.
