A trichobezoar is a mass of ingested hair that accumulates in the stomach and sometimes extends into the intestines. This condition is often associated with trichotillomania, a psychological disorder where individuals have an irresistible urge to pull out their own hair and sometimes eat it. In severe cases, surgical intervention may be required to remove the hair mass.
