The study investigated the stability and effectiveness of hair tonic formulations containing ethanol extract of clove leaves (Syzygium aromaticum) at concentrations of 5, 10, and 15%. The formulations were stable under high temperatures, maintaining consistent odor, color, clarity, and pH. The effectiveness was tested on rabbit hair growth over 21 days, showing that the clove leaf extract significantly increased hair growth compared to the control groups. The hair growth measurements were 4.00 mm, 4.80 mm, and 5.46 mm for the 5%, 10%, and 15% clove extract groups, respectively, compared to 11.83 mm for the positive control and 1.71 mm for the blank. The study concluded that clove ethanol extract in hair tonics could enhance hair growth in rabbits.
