This study evaluated a new carboxymethyl chitosan/polyaldehyde dextran (CMCS/PD) hydrogel and found it to be a promising tissue adhesive for trauma emergencies in rats, showing rapid gel formation, strong adhesion, and better antibacterial properties than some commercial alternatives.
